Deferred Inflow of Resources

Overview

Deferred Inflow of Resources is a credit account that balances the receivable (debit) at the inception of the lease (because under GASB 87, the asset value of the underlying asset is not derecognized).

It is amortized straight-line over the lease term.

Note: This account only applies to GASB 87, lessor leases.
