When I enter a two-digit year, EZLease says the date is not in the proper range of dates even though it is. Why?

EZLease allows entry of two-digit years, which are converted to a four-digit year according to a 100- year “window” set in your computer’s Control Panel (in Windows 7, 8, or 10, go to Region and Language, choose Additional Settings, Date, Calendar); the range may be something like 1930-2029. Due to a limitation of the Microsoft programming environment, a two-digit year is not converted to a four-digit year until after the date is validated. This can cause, for instance, an error saying that an early termination date is before the end date. To work around this problem, press the left arrow ( ) or click on the day or month number to trigger the conversion, and then move on to other fields that you want to enter. Or just let EZLease give the error, then continue; after the error is displayed, the conversion will happen.
